What is World Diabetes Day?

World Diabetes Day (WDD) was created by both the World Health Organization and the Federation Diabetes International. It was instituted in 1991 and is now a mass campaign. The issues raised serve as educational campaigns last the whole year.

The day is celebrated every November 14. This means the birth of Frederick Banting, one of two men led to the discovery of insulin through its research and theories. It became an official of the UN World Health Day in 2006.

DMD is honored at more than 160 countries globally.There also many different organizations and groups to honor the day and the campaign.

Much is done to spread the word about diabetes, as the main reason for DMD is the awareness and education. The ads are taken a wide variety of spectra.

Awareness races and other events and festivals are held. The ceremonies and symbolic gestures are made, all the days to come in the news and to raise awareness as many people as possible.

The objectives of the DMD

Ultimately, the goal of World Diabetes Day is awareness. The more people are aware of the problem, the more people that can be saved.

Many people do not even realize they have the disease until much damage is done. DMD also serves as a massive fundraiser, raising funds for research both diabetes and to treat people with diabetes.

DMD preaches ideas and values such as living a healthy lifestyle and getting yourself examined by doctors. It also teaches how to make address the problems and ways to prevent disease.

DMD also teaches about ways to help even if you do not have the disease. Raising awareness and educate people, diabetes can be prevented more effectively.

In addition, it puts more attention worldwide, raising the importance of investing money and time to research.

I would make a simple bake sale … each has a parent bring in cookies, cakes, candy and any selling cheap … My preschool bake sale earned over $ 700!
